Grace Fellowship Church - old

Core Values

The Bible is our foundation, our guide for all aspects of living.  Within it we find the story of our lives as they are wrapped up in the story and life of God.  We commit ourselves to study it, live it, breath it, and submit to it as the Living Word of God.

Prayer is our intimate conversation with God.  In prayer we open our hearts to hear the voice of His heart.  Through prayer we join Him in calling forth His kingdom on earth, in uplifting one another, in seeking His will, and His provision for our lives and ministry.

We love to worship God at Grace.  He and He alone is completely worthy of all glory and praise, and we worship Him with all of our heart, soul, mind and strength.  It is our belief that as we worship God, we join with the whole of creation in praising the Creator; and that through worship the name of God is magnified and the hearts of His people are renewed and encouraged.

We have Good News to share!  God loves us!  In our wayward, fallen state He provided the way for mankind to come into His family through the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus Christ!  Though Jesus died on the Cross, He was raised to life again and gives that new life to those who believe in Him.  We are called to share this gospel message with our neighbors and friends, to go out into the highways and byways and declare His love to all who respond to His calling.

We are called to serve God by serving others, both near and far, in our homes, work places, neighborhoods, communities, nation and world.  Our serving may be physical, tangible gifts of food, clothing, money or time.  Our serving may be less visible:  Prayers of intercession, acts of kindness, words of encouragement, attitudes of mercy and grace.  Our love for our fellow man reflects our love for God. Jesus said, “The greatest commandment is to love the Lord your God with all your heart . . .  The second is this: to love your neighbor as yourself.”

We are called to live in a Christ centered community.  With God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit as our true example of community, we seek to walk together in humility, honoring one another as those who bear the very image of God.  It is our joy to encourage and empower one another to shine forth in the true gifting and glory that reveals Christ in us both as individuals and corporately.  We seek to love one another, bear with one another and stand together as one in the body of Christ.  As brothers and sisters in the Lord we are Christ to one another in all circumstances “rejoicing with those who rejoice and mourning with those who mourn.”
